Fleets
& Dinghies Sailed
Classes
with fleet status are: Merlin Rocket;
Laser; GP14; Solo; and
Comet. All other boats sail in the Menagerie fleet.
A wide range of other dinghies are accepted into the Menagerie fleet and
the wide range of boats sailed means that everyone from the keen racer
through the family sailor to the absolute beginner can find a boat to
suit them.
Each of the main fleets also organises an Open
Meeting which attract sailors from all over the UK.
Members can sail at any time except when there is an Open Meeting, or a
Work Party. Access may be limited during scheduled training.
Club racing happens every Sunday from March to
December with each of the main fleets enjoying its own start in one race
each day.
