LASER FLEET

The Laser was designed in 1971 as a strict 'one design' dinghy which gives exciting sailing at low cost and when racing gives a true test between sailors rather than between boats & equipment.

The construction is GRP giving a tough hull structure that requires minimal maintenance. The boat can be car topped or towed on a trailer.

Ideal crew weight is 67 - 90 kg which can be reduced to 35kg by use of the Radial or 4.7 rigs. Boats with these rigs use the same hull with a shorter bottom mast section and a different sail. The Radial rig is ideal for beginners.
