Social Events
The club social programme gives opportunities to meet other club members.
Some of the events are held at the club, which is an ideal location for

- Pub at the Club: pub games and pub grub at the club.
- Quiz Night: popular family event, questions set by the inimitable
Howard Collerson.
- Treasure Hunt: perennial favourite, but something we haven't done
for a while; deserves a revival.
- Talk by 'local' personality: as sailing related as possible, with
buffet.
- Junior Party - aimed at our younger members, but oldies can come and
embarass everyone too!
- Race Night: modest gambling on randomised pre-recorded horse or dog
races.
- Barn Dance: choose your partners and dozy do!
- Family Fun Day: where all the family can do silly things with some
added water, usually followed by
- Commodore's BBQ: always a favourite, at least with the Commodore.
- Work parties: an rare opportunity to combine socialising with painting,
sawing, hammering, digging & being useful.
