    Club House Development Project – January 2017 Update - Access Arrangements

    Winter Series Duties now open for volunteering

    The winter series starts in November. As in previous years, in order to qualify for a result in this series you must also do a duty and these are now open for volunteering. You can still do a duty - even if you are not competing in the series The series finishes with a Christmas Lunch for all those who've taken part, followed by the prize giving.

    We welcome all our sailors to compete in our Summer Regatta on 14th August.     Maintenance Work on Byfield Pool Bridge

    Please be aware that the Canal and River Trust are repairing/replacing the bridge over the outlet to Byfield Pool and will be leaving their vehicles at the south end of our carpark. This is not likely to affect us as will only work will be taking place Monday to Friday, but will probably mean that walkers will not be able to get all the way round the reservoir.

    Spring Regatta - Sunday 22nd May

    The regatta is a series of 4 PY handicap races run over the day (2 am, 2 pm) with the best 3 results to count. Races are open to all sailors whatever their experience and subject to numbers we will award prizes for best placed Youth and Rookie helms. First race starts at 10.30 am

    Banbury Sailors battling hard at the Optimist Open

    We were delighted to welcome over 35 visiting sailors to our Optimist Open Meeting. When Banbury sailors were included the fleet totalled over 42 boats. The racing was close, the weather behaved and the sailors smiled so it was a near perfect regatta. Banbury SC was well represented in the prizes too, with George Eames Matthews who took second Place in the Main fleet and Susannah Syme who took 3rd place in the

    Merlin Rocket Open Meeting Sunday 10th April - Review

    26 Merlin Rockets racing hard is a sight to see anywhere - but especially so at Banbury Sailing club where we tested the visiting sailors skills with moderately strong, but shifty winds from the East.     Solo and Laser Open Meeting Review

    The Laser and Solo open meeting attracted 23 Solos and 8 Lasers to Banbury Sailing club from clubs all over the Midlands.
