Work Party Review and Pontoon Launching Party 27th February
Around 65 members turned up to the work party, despite the strong winds and undertook a long list of jobs including finishing the fitting of the balustrades to the decking area, tree cropping, road laying and of course pontoon building. We got a long way with all the jobs, but the pontoon building took longer than anticipated. The upshot is that the new pontoons were not launched and we need volunteers for Saturday

Midland Optimist Training - Banbury leg Review
On 21st November the Midland Optimist Training session was hosted at Banbury Sailing Club. Over 20 youth sailors braved the strong winds and bitter wind - and were rewarded with some excellent coaching on strong wind sailing, something we haven't had for the fleet for some time. CVDRA Event Review
BSC were once again honoured to host the final event of the Classic and Vintage Dinghy Racing Association series. earlier this month. It was great to see so many classics sailing on our lake and we are led to believe this was the biggest inland water turn-out of boats of all the events this year. Barts Bash Results
The Barts Bash 2015 event at Banbury Sailing Club was a great success, with 46 boats starting (and all finishing) the race. Competiors ranged from our top club racers through to many "first timers" of all ages. Youth Sailing Achievements
Over the last few weekends, a few of our Youth sailors have been sailing at national events and we're delighted to report their success. At the National Schools Sailing Association regatta, Held at Rutland Water, one of our sailors won first place and the Surrey Cup in a Standard Laser, winning five out of the nine races, they sailed excellently in some challenging conditions. Robin Foster Race Results
The Robin Foster was competed for last Sunday, with 13 competitors "enjoying" all that the weather could throw at them - No wind, rain, then a strong breeze and big wind shifts. 9 finished in total and the overall winner was Tim Bury and Pat Kuenzler in their Merlin rocket, closely followed by Dave Cornish's Solo and Ed Slack's Laser. After 3 hours of racing, there was less than 30 seconds between these 3 boats!
