Maintenance Work on Byfield Pool Bridge

Please be aware that the Canal and River Trust are repairing/replacing the bridge over the outlet to Byfield Pool and will be leaving their vehicles at the south end of our carpark. This is not likely to affect us as will only work will be taking place Monday to Friday, but will probably mean that walkers will not be able to get all the way round the reservoir.

We were delighted to welcome over 35 visiting sailors to our Optimist Open Meeting. When Banbury sailors were included the fleet totalled over 42 boats. The racing was close, the weather behaved and the sailors smiled so it was a near perfect regatta. Wayfarer Cruising Conference Report

The Wayfarer Cruising Conference was held last weekend (19 th and 20 th March) at Notts County Sailing Club and I pleased to say that a third of BSC Wayfarer owners attended. Work Party Review and Pontoon Launching Party 27th February

Around 65 members turned up to the work party, despite the strong winds and undertook a long list of jobs including finishing the fitting of the balustrades to the decking area, tree cropping, road laying and of course pontoon building. We got a long way with all the jobs, but the pontoon building took longer than anticipated. The upshot is that the new pontoons were not launched and we need volunteers for Saturday
