Details. 6th/7th March: Dinghy Show:at Alexandra Palace, "probably the best boat show in the entire universe". Book online and be sure to say you are from BSC. If enough people do that we could win all sorts of goodies! Details. March/April: Powerboat and Safety Boat courses:two Powerboat and one Safety Boat course. Details. BWB has signed the lease with a commencement date of January 18th, 2010. We have until 2040 before it comes up for renewal!! DutyMan:select your 2010 duty. Instructions. Wind Turbine Project:No, not the Commodore's latest folly, but a joint project between BWB and Partnerships for Renewables to site up to 5 wind turbines locally. Up to date information here. BWB woes:A recent Asset Portfolio published by HMG includes BWB's “significant portfolio of nonoperational properties throughout Great Britain ... comprises properties and land within its asset base that are not directly involved in the operation of the waterways.” (That'll include us.) Speculation has been rife that this is the prelude to some sort of sell off. Follow Waterways World for an overview. OnBoard:The Club has become part of the RYA's nationwide programme to make it easier for young people to get involved in sailing. Becoming part of the scheme has already resulted in the club receiving various grants from the RYA. (90 acres) of water in attractive countryside, at Boddington Reservoir,
18 km (11 miles) north of Banbury. Members can sail at (almost) any time. |
