The General Committee

t The General Committee are responsible for administering the clubs activities and ensuring compliance with our club rules. Candidates for roles on the main committee are elected at the AGM, however the places on the sub committees are available to any club member with an interest or relevant skill.

Flag Officers

A keen Solo sailor, David can be found competing regularly in club racing. David also instructs with our adult training program.

Dave's role as president is to bring continuity to the decisions the club makes today, linking them back to past objectives - our compass if you like.

Rob is a keen Solo sailor and will be seen at the club most Sundays. He instructs with on both adult and youth OnBoard programs.

Rob's Commodore remit includes building maintenance and development.

Peter is the face of Juniors here at Banbury Sailing club, leading our large Youth Sailing Section where we train over 60, 7-18 year olds from beginner to race coaching. Peter Is a senior instructor and regularly races club boats on Sundays.

A keen Solo sailor, Duncan can be found fiercely racing his Solo most Sundays. Duncan also gets involved with Youth sailing - his two daughters both sail and he is a youth assistant instructor. When not at the club he also races on big boats down on the South Coast.

Treasuer Junstin O'Toole
Justin is a finance professional at University of Oxford. He enjoys many aspects of the club, from racing his Laser, to cruising his Mirror and supporting his son who races at various events both at the club and at Open Meetings
Club Secretary Rachel Bamber
Most of Rachel's sailing is in big-boats on the Solent, but she's learning the smaller end of the market through sailing at the club. She is also a keen helper with youth sailing team with her 2 sons.

Bosun Jeff Faull
As a professional mechanic Jeff is the man who knows all about powerboat and engine maintenance; if the engine is missing a beat Jeff is who you need to have it running sweetly again.

Brenda races a Lark regularly but also takes advantage of her opportunities to escape the UK, when she can, to sail with friends in Australia! If you want to try sailing a larger boat, then have a chat with Brenda
