Club AGM

AGM - Save the Date - 27th Feb 2020 2.30pm

Despite the restrictions, we will be having an AGM this year, but as you can imagine in a different form.  The AGM will be held via video conference, using Zoom.  The paperwork and joining instructions will be sent by e-mail in early February.

As you'll be aware, the club is volunteer run and as we approach the AGM we are short of some people to help us run the club for you.  Below are some of the vacancies we have - most are volunteer roles, however there is one paid role, which we need to fill

Vacancies:

Clubhouse Cleaner: We are seeking someone to undertake the cleaning of the clubhouse.  This is a paid role and takes around 4hrs a week.  If any member wishes to undertake this role, or knows someone who might like to, then please get in touch for a job description and rates of pay.

Committee Volunteer Roles:

The purpose of each role is laid out, however the committee see the people taking on these roles as being the co-ordinator, to get the task done rather than having to do everything within the remit of the role - the more people who get involved the lighter the load for everyone, so I'd urge you to also come forward if you can support anyone in any of these roles, even if you don't feel able to take on the role itself.  The time load is relatively small - 1.5hrs a month at a meeting and then the more helpers we have the less time needed by all.

Club Communications - ensuring members are aware of activity at the club through e-mails, the website and social media - no specialist knowledge is required.

New Members Rep - we are looking for someone to take the new members under their wing and support them in starting at the club

Bosun (Sailing) - co-ordinating the maintenance of the club sailing boats at the work parties (i.e. not doing all the maintenance, but making sure we have a list of the jobs and the parts to undertake repairs / maintenance)

Any Other Skill? If you have some expertise you can give to the club then we'd love to hear from you, this could be from your profession or general interests, but feel free to offer your services rather than wait to be asked.
