Sailability at Banbury Sailing Club
At Banbury Sailing Club we believe that that sailing is a sport that can be enjoyed by all people, no matter their background or ability.
To that end the Club has undertaken to become a recognised RYA Sailability Centre and is actively looking at ways of improving our club so that we can cater to those less able members.
While we are still working to improve our facilities and are not yet able to accomodate sailors with every type of disability we are very keen to do what we can to help any new or existing members who may need help or support.
We encourage anyone thinking of trying sailing or any previous sailors with concerns to get in contact with us.
We can then discuss your needs and what the club can do to help you in an open and honest way. Any discussion will of course be kept strictly confidential.
As part of our ongoing commitment to Sailability the Club has secured the use of a doublehanded Hansa 303 dinghy for that is specifically designed for less able sailors. Detailed information for this craft can be found on it's dedicated page here.
For more more specific information regarding accessability at the club please see our seperate accessability page here.
We also have handy maps of the club grounds and clubhouse itself to help you find your way around.
