Special Races and Series
Regatta days
The Regatta shall consist of four races held over a single day. Each race should be planned to be 40 minutes for the mid boat. For scoring, the best three races count. The format/timing for regatta may be varied at the discretion of the regatta organising committee and/or PDO.
The first three races count to the normal Sunday series.
The first race signal will not be made before 1025hrs.

Length of race - target 60 mins.
Full details on the origin of the Bill Mansfield Trophy race can be found here.
Sunday pursuit series (personal handicap)
An entry charge is made for each boat and a prize is given for each race.
Each competitor is given an individual handicap (in multiples of 1.5 mins). Starting letters are used to denote the starting sequence (eg A represents the first start, B is 1.5 minutes after the start, E represents 6.0 minutes after the start). You start as your start letter is taken down and you then have to chase the slower boats which have started in front.
The race length is as close to 60 minutes as possible (as this is the duration the handicaps were calculated on).
There are three pursuit days with three races on each and a prize for each race.
