Youth Sailing Achievements

Over the last few weekends, a few of our Youth sailors have been sailing at national events and we're delighted to report their success.

At the National Schools Sailing Association regatta, Held at Rutland Water, one of our sailors won first place and the Surrey Cup in a Standard Laser, winning five out of the nine races, they sailed excellently in some challenging conditions. Another Banbury Sailor was absolutely thrilled to be amongst 18 sailors selected from 350 fellow competitors, to spend a week at the Andrew Simpson sailing centre in Weymouth with some of the best of the UK's sailing coaches,

Some of our Optimist Sailors also performed well at the Optimist National 2015 Championships held at Pwllheli. Our Oppie Sailors competed in both the regatta and main fleets
